We can’t make a success of this project on our own. We need plenty of willing volunteers to host a gnome visit and send them on their merry way! If you’re willing, able and (above all) reliable, please do join in!
When a gnome arrives with you, the first thing you’ll need to do is email us to let us know. We would then encourage you to:
- Take a picture of the gnome in your hometown – in front of a monument, on the beach, in your back garden – wherever you like really! Feel free to post your picture with your gnome on your own blog (with a link through here if you please!), but most importantly, please email the jpegs to us too!
- Write us a few lines about where you took the gnome and email along with the images, to enable us to post quality blog entries!
- Stamp your gnome’s passport, add anything you may wish to to the box, be it a postcard of the local town, a ticket stub from a trip to the local cinema or a pin badge from a local attraction.
- Wrap the gnome CAREFULLY back in its packaging and post it on to the address we have provided you with.
You may have blogging friends that you wish to send the gnome on to, in which case please do let us know and we’ll accomodate them. No matter what, reliability is the buzz word – we don’t want Mitchell, George or Annie getting lost!
If you’d like to take part in our adventure, simply leave us a comment or email telling us:
- Your name
- Where you’re based
- Your blog URL or website
- Where you’d like to take your gnome
We’ll build up a list of potential gnome hosts and hostesses.
Hehe, this sounds fun! I’d like to have a gnome visit!
Hurrah! Our first willing volunteer! I think I’ll ask one of my fellow gnomettes to send a gnome to you – what with me living just down the road and all.
Any offers?
